Let your deeds be the offspring of the path of light. ~Pamela Eakins
Our deeds have an origin. We might act out of fear, or obligation, or obedience, or anger. Or out of joy, or love, or compassion, or kindness. Many of us are taught to submit to an outside authority, so we discipline ourselves to comply with the directives of whatever that authority is. But when we are aligned with the path of light, our deeds naturally manifest from within, in harmony with our inner guidance.
Listening to, hearing, and following our inner guidance is not something we are taught to do. On the contrary, we are taught to mistrust our own wisdom and turn instead to leaders or experts outside of ourselves. But when we submit to an outside authority, we have disconnected from the path with light. Our actions might appear good, but they are contrived, because we have abdicated our own autonomy. In contrast, when we take responsibility for ourselves and follow the path of light, we embody the universal energy of all creation. Our deeds are the natural offspring of the path in the same way that a fruit tree naturally produces fruit. We are aligned, integrated, whole, at peace, without inner struggle or conflict.
Our focus, then, is not so much in conforming our behavior to some external standard, but rather on our natural harmony with our internal wisdom, on our inner path of light. When that is established, all will be well.
Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all these things will be added unto you. ~Matthew 6:33
And remember – The kingdom of God is within you. ~Luke 17:21
Wise words.
