Universal Paradox

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. ~Matthew 7:7

I asked and indeed it was given to me. I sought and indeed I found. I knocked and indeed the door was opened to me. All as promised.

Only then did I realize that I didn’t have to ask, because what I asked for has always been mine. I didn’t have to seek, because what I sought has never been lost. I didn’t have to knock, because the door has always been open. In fact, there has never even been a door.

Yet had I never asked, sought, or knocked, I never would have known that. The universe is funny that way.

  1. So simple, and so powerfully on point. Your words speak to me quite loudly today. They speak of freedom that is always available, always an option.

    1. It really is simple, isn’t it? Liberation is our natural state. I’m always amazed by that. Thanks for commenting, Bob.
